Tips for getting ready and set for the prep school year ahead!
Over the next 6 weeks l will aim to provide some useful tips and reminders for parents and children for getting ready for school. So it's as stress-free as possible for all parties.
WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL NEED FOR PREP:
A lunch box that is easy to open.
Healthy food for "brain food time or munch and crunch" along with morning, lunch and afternoon tea. Please note that you will need to include an ice-pack as the school's are not able to put lunches into the fridge.
Drink Bottle, preferrable with just water
School Hat or a plain Wide Brim or Bucket Hat
A school bag that is big enough to hold the lunchbox, and a library bag for library day along with holding the school bucket hat and, drink bottle and a spare change of clothes and underwear.
Library Bag and Homework Folder
Spare Clothes should be in a plastic bag. These should be kept in your child's bag at all times as the school may not have spares.
You will also need to have the School resource's lists such as books, pens, pencils if your school does not organise this for you.
NAMES AND LABELS:
As a parent first l can't emphasise this enough, please LABEL EVERYTHING
and l mean absolutely everything - Shoe's, hat's, school uniform, spare clothes, lunch boxes, drink bottles, library bags, homework folders.
