EASTER EDIBLE CHOCOLATE PLAY DOUGH
I try to keep it simple (KIS) especially when making play dough recipes, has l have quite a few now including my moon stand, but as far as edible dough, well that really was a new challenge. As my litle ladies love to seek out sensory play but also has a severe dairy allergy, and nuts so through trile and error l found something that has made my little audience happy and edible . Fairly simple to be make and most family homes have these ingredients in their home and best of all its but it is allergy friendly and preservative free. Ingredients: 1/2 cup dairy-free margarine (If you don't have to worry about milk allergies, regular margarine or butter works too.) 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar mixture with 3 tablespoons water and 2 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups Gluten flour (any flour if you don't need to worry about gluten) 1/2 cup super Cacao organic chocolate powder or cocoa powder (Make sure the only ingredient on the container is cocoa.)
Directions: Mix both kinds of sugar in with the room temperature margarine. In a separate bowl, mix together 3 tablespoons of water and two teaspoons of baking soda. Add this mixture to the sugar mixture. Mix in the remaining ingredients. If the dough seems too sticky, add a little extra flour. Once the dough has been mixed thoroughly, you can spoon some out for the kids to play with. - Stacey's Independent Learning
