Giving the love of learning to your special Peeps you mentor:

Traditional-style of learning is notfor everyone child or educator, parent, carers significant others in theirlives, but through play and gentle teaching methods and encouragement andpraise we can make a real difference.

INDIVIDUALLYPACED LEARNING

Learning can take place in many differentways from the carefully presented classroom materials through to raking leavesand gardening with Gran and doing the dishes at home. Playing with Lego anddressing dolls to been read to and paying for his or her Strawberry milk.

Peeps learn through repetition trueunderstanding and application of knowledge, skills and concepts. By supportingthe peeps and allowing them to move forward at his or her own rate.

TEACHERS,PARENTS AS THEIR GUIDES

One of the core principles of my teachingmethod and education is to instill a love of learning in my peeps and student’sl personal believed that we all possess innate curiosity and a strong internaldrive to learn. To nurture these self-motivational instincts in a student,parents and teachers act as guides, carefully observing students, andskillfully presenting material to support key concepts.

THEPREPARED ENVIRONMENT

Classrooms are filled withextraordinarily well-organized materials. Much of the work with the teacheroccurs in the preparation and organization of materials and the carefulfollow-through of a lesson or concept. Students get the chance to unlock theworld of learning through his or her own exploration of the supportingmaterials. The teacher spends considerable time gathering, creating andchanging these supporting materials, and in general, keeping the classroomenvironment inviting for discovery. Classroom shelves contain objects fromnature, follow-up exercises, Montessori materials and original source materialswhich all complement the themes being studied.

Classrooms are arranged in study centers,with clusters of student- sized tables and open areas for floor work. At myspecial little peeps his study center is surrounded by shelves of books forreading and materials pertaining to a particular area such as language, and writing,arts, such as collage making mathematics thru Blocks and manipulative play,history, or geography, science, outdoor play.

FRIENDSHIPS,LIFE SKILLS AND COMMUNITY

The classroom is not the only a communityof close friends; it is an awesome source of countless “life lessons” in socialskills, everyday courtesy, and ethics. Teachers are trained to encourage childdevelopment theory and understand the sensitive periods at each stage. It iswith this understanding that they are effective guides in the social andemotional issues which children face.

People these are my thoughts and as lamnot a Teacher just a caring parent first and a speech assistant second, this ishow l do play thru learning with my precious people.
